Last week I attended via video stream an event by the Keizai Society, a business and professional networking organization.
The program, “Three Scenarios for Japan's Global Future" was extraordinary for a few reasons. First, the topic itself. Second, the all female panel consisting of Michi Kaifu, Rochelle Kopp, and Kimberly Wiefling, who are all successful consultants and authors working in Japan-US business. Third, it is a perfect example of what the Keizai Society and its co-founder, Mark Kato is doing—running a global organization and utilizing technology to bring it to the people wherever they are; in California, in New York like myself, in Japan and world over.
Each panelist gave her opinion as to where she felt Japan was--economically, socially, globally and where the country and its companies might be headed. It is definitely a must-see for all of us working in Japan-US business. Click here to view the video of the event.
It is not enough to just say Japanese companies need to change to fit in this evolving global economy. As Japan-US business consultants in our different specialized fields, we must take the action of putting ourselves in front of these companies and offering our services that will assist them in their evolution.
